I find hostelling an economical option for a single traveller. As well, it gives me the opportunity to meet other travellers and perhaps hook up with them on further adventures as well as just sharing travelling stories. This truly makes my holidays.

It depends on the city the hostel is in. I think booking 2 days in advance is more than enough notice depending on the city you are travelling to.

A friend I made over 10 years ago while travelling in Australia... and we are still friends today.

That they are only for young travellers.

To meet new people and explore.
- What is your advice for other travelers wanting to stay in hostels?
Be prepared for a little noise - bring ear plugs, secure your belongings in lockers, always have shower shoes and have fun.
