Pizzelli Summer House Book your bed
This is a family house located in Orašac, 12km west of Dubrovnik. One whole wing of the house is available to rent during the summer. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens and 3 bathrooms. Guests can sample traditional Dalmatian products such as smoked ham, olive oil, wine and brandy which are produced in our household using natural methods.
The house was built originally in 1470 in the country style, featuring a big terrace with a commanding view of the Elafiti Islands. The house was burned down in a robbery in 1807 and reconstructed in the early 1920's. Situated in a quiet surrounding, it is ideal for those who seek a quiet holiday.
The house is 900 metres walking distance from beach. There is grocery store in the vicinity of the house (50m) as well as two restaurants (one in Orašac 250m away and another one on the beach).
Nearby the guesthouse are numerous attractions. Above the village there is a fortified summer residence (from 1700) of the Austrian consul in Dubrovnik, Filippo Saponaro. Adjoining it, there is a building that was formerly a small Dominican monastery (from 1690) with church. Below the village, at the edge of the cliffs rising high above the shore, stand the ruins of the once monumental Arapovo castle where the chief magistrate of Florence, the gonfalonier Pietro Soderini, is believed to have stayed when he left Florence in 1512.
