This post is brought to you by Flight Centre. For more information on sponsored posts read here.

Have you ever had a chance to visit one of the five most popular tourist destinations in the world? If not, then perhaps you should book some adventure tours to one of these locations on your next holiday. Each location is unique in culture, language and sightseeing and if you do visit, you’ll soon discover why each location is so popular amongst other tourists.

France

Many visitors come to France every year and for good reason. Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world and is famous for the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre and several other famous attractions throughout the city. Not far from Paris is the opulent Chateau de Versailles, the former home of the King of France. In the southern France you have the French Riviera with many familiar beaches such as Marseille, Cannes and Saint-Tropez.

United States

The United States has plenty of great destinations and the most popular cities to visit are New York with the famous Central Park and the Statue of Liberty, Los Angeles with plenty of tourist attractions such as Hollywood, Universal Studios and Venice Beach, Miami for its beautiful beaches, ethnic foods and lively night life and Washington to see all of the important national monuments and museums such as the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.

China

Two of the most recognizable attractions in the world are in China. They are the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace in Beijing and the incredible Great Wall of China that stretches over 8800 km long, about 65 km from Beijing. Another distinctive attraction is the Bund in Shanghai, which is the mile long scenic area along the Huangpu River and very popular amongst the locals. The Terra Cotta Warriors from the 3rd century BC are also worth visiting in the city of Xi’an.

Spain

Spain is another obvious choice for a holiday, as the country is known to be the second most popular tourist destination in the world. The top destinations in this country along the Mediterranean Sea are Madrid, the capital and the largest city, with many art museums, the Royal Palace, home of the King of Spain and several prominent Catholic churches and Barcelona, also rich in museums, art galleries, churches and magnificent beach resorts as well as the trendy Spanish Riviera.

Italy

Italy is famous for the Roman Colosseum and Vatican City, with its very famous Sistine Chapel and the Pieta inside Saint Peter’s Basilica, in addition to the gondolas of Venice and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, just a few minutes away from the historical city of Florence. Other notable sites in Rome that shouldn’t be missed are the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Italy is also known for its fine dining and excellent wines, clothing and fashion and just any other major European city, professional sports.

So if you are planning a holiday, by visiting any of these five most popular destinations, not only are you guaranteed to have a memorable experience, you will be able to experience some of the most important sites and structures in the world.

I recently got engaged and , to be honest, getting married in Bali does sound like a good idea. However, if you also plan to do this, make sure to research everything ahead of time and hire a specialized company to take care of the details.

But a honeymoon in Bali can be planned much easier. There are many couples which enjoy doing absolutely nothing on their vacation than soak up the sun , try the restaurants and maybe visit one of the major sights in the area.

And there are the rest of us, who want to find something special anywhere. A road trip in Bali sounds like my kind of a honeymoon. I dislike staying put and doing everything that other tourists do. Therefore, I am always up for adventure. Going off the beaten track is an amazing opportunity to discover other faces of Bali. It might not be a big island, but there are many roads which can take you away from the usual hustle and bustle.

Do prepare for a road trip carefully. It can make the difference between an awesome and a crappy experience. Pack a basic first aid kit. Always wear a bandana on your head. It’s hot and you don’t want to have health issues on your vacation, do you? Also, remember that you need to drink a lot of water. When you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. And don’t forget your sarong. It can double as a skirt when you visit the temples, or as a towel. You can easily transport it into a bag. Or even use it as a bandana. The Swiss Army knife is also a must, along with some dry treats.

What are you waiting for? Have you booked your tickets to Bali yet?

Bali is a paradise island, where tourists flock all the time. And this time of the year is when Australian tourists head to this wonderful place. There are great value vacation packages to choose from and cheap flights are not very hard to find.

Getting to Bali from Australia is fast and easy . If you fly from Darwin, you’ll be choosing the shortest route to Bali (2h 30 min). Otherwise, be prepared to spend up to 7 h 30 min in the plane. However, the rates are affordable and airlines keeping adding more routes to this paradise. Pacific Blue flights to Bali from Adelaide will be available starting on December 1. And although between December and March the monsoon can bring heavy rain, the days are still often sunny with showers only in the afternoon.

For those who don’t like the humidity, the best time to visit Bali is between June and September. And the airfare is affordable for this time of the year, as well. If you fly from Darwin, you can get away with US$331 RT per person (on Indonesia Air) for travel in late August.

Most of the travelers come to Bali for the superb beaches and the relaxed atmosphere. But, make sure to also visit some of the temples. Each village has to construct and maintain at least three Hindu temples, so you surely have plenty of choices. If you are the adventurous kind of traveler, you should try jungle trekking.

And don’t forget the Balinese cuisine. It is totally different than in the rest of Indonesia, due to its focus on pork. But if you don’t enjoy red meat, there are plenty of salads to choose from, as well as fish and chicken dishes.

Whether you look for a place to spend your honeymoon, plan an anniversary getaway or just want to relax, the Island getaways in Australia are excellent choices.

Kangaroo Island is the perfect choice for honeymooners. You can try a lot of outdoor activities but don’t miss walking through wineries either. Magnetic Island is a tropical paradise, suitable for those who want to spend their time on the beach. If you want to experience the wild nature, rent a bike, get a tent and head to Rottnest Island. Other options include Fraser Island, Lizard Island – for those who want to do some snorkeling – and Fitzroy Island – for a mix of sun, sand and snorkeling.

You can consider one of the Queensland island resorts for your vacation, especially if you have relaxation and romance in your plans.

But in order to get to a paradise island, you first need to fly to fly to Australia. The gateway into Queensland is Cairns. Therefore, look for cheap tickets to Cairns . Plan to fly mid-week, when the airfare is typically lower than during the weekends. If you prefer to fly on a particular airline, check whether they have any sale available or use the miles you’ve racked up over the years. A round trip flight from New York in late August will set you back about US$1600 per person, while in November the price sores to US$1900 per person.

So take advantage of this time of year and plan your getaway during the shoulder season. If you head to a tropical island the weather will be nice anyway. But the flight and accommodation will be cheaper than if you were to plan your vacation during the high season.

Since I’ve started to enjoy tanning as I prefer it, I went from using various bathing suits – the style depended on how much I hated or liked my weight at that moment – to sunbathing topless. Logically, one day or another I’ll try nude sunbathing (in public, because I already tried it in my own back yard).

Europe is known as a place where everything goes and official nude beaches can be easily found. Not to mention that unofficial ones are quite abundant. But, if you happen to travel to Australia and you want to explore nude sunbathing, there are quite a lot of places to do it.

Nude beaches in Australia are not hard to find, regardless of which large airport you’ll fly into. But in some areas, nude sunbathing is not legal. Don’t worry though as unofficial nude beaches can be found even in Brisbane, which is one of the stats which don’t allow nude sunbathing.

Look for airfare to Brisbane and explore its superb beaches. Don’t forget to plan a day trip to Fraser Island. This guide to Fraser Island will come in handy. Invest in a guided tour and explore the beauty of the wildlife. If you don’t mind walking all day, the on foot tours are an excellent choice.

Still have nude bathing on your head? Hop on a flight to Perth and choose one of the many nude beaches. Just don’t forget to pack a sun tan lotion. And your bathing suit. Just in case.

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is truly a city of contrasts. It’s an urban center featuring tall buildings, intense heat, traffic congestion, naughty nightlife, along with its many temples, museums, parks and excellent Thai food.

Thankfully, getting to Bangkok is easy. Cheap flights are very easy find, especially since there are many low cost carriers serving the area. And there are also direct international flights into Bangkok. If you are already somewhere else in Thailand, you can take the train or the bus to get to Bangkok.

While you figure out the transportation, make sure to also book one of the cheap hotels in Bangkok . Khao San Road is a heaven for backpackers and where you’ll also find the affordable hotels. If you want moderate or even luxury accommodation, look for hotels in Siam Square, Sukhumvit and Silom.

Now that you are in the city, it’s time to plan the things to do. There’s no point to visit the city and not spend a night in Bangkok’s Red Light District . It’s like going to Vegas and swearing not to gamble; or heading to Amsterdam and not wanting to try the space cakes. Really, you will want to check out this infamous district just because it’s so … infamous. But be careful what you do and how much you drink. A clear mind is what you need here.

Don’t forget to sample the real Thai food. In the markets, choose the place which is most crowded. In that way you can rest assured the food is fresh. Vegetarians will love the choices here. And so will those who want to sample…fried insects.

No visit to Bangkok is complete without spending time in one of the temples. And there are many to choose from. The Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun are the most famous, so if your time is limited try to visit at least one of these.

But it’s not just the beautiful harbor, the beaches, the museums, the wildlife or the mountains that are bringing people there year after year. Sydney has some truly unforgettable places to eat, as well.

Delectable Indian Cuisine

Head over to Aki’s Indian Restaurant for delicious and authentic Indian food. Come and enjoy the view of the water on the bay. The curries will make your mouth water, the desserts are wonderful and you won’t be disappointed in the wine list. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is sophisticated with its high ceilings, modern lighting and open kitchen. It’s a great place to eat lunch or dinner, and you’ll leave with a very memorable dining experience.

Heavenly Steaks

Head over to MuMu Grill for some really great steak. This steakhouse and tapas bar was rated “One of the Best Steak Restaurants in Sydney” by the Sydney Morning Herald. Don’t come here expecting only steaks – you’ll find a wide selection of poultry and seafood as well as the tapas menu. They have a strong focus on sustainability, offering grass fed beef and lamb and organic chicken, duck and fish. The desserts you’ll find here, like ginger bread and vanilla ricotta sandwich with poached peach and spiced vanilla syrup or the chocolate mole tarte served with hazelnut gelato are truly unforgettable. You’ll definitely leave this eatery satisfied.

For the Love of French Food

Just thinking about French food brings to mind romance, intrigue and decadence. When you dine at The Marque, remember that the focus is not on filling up, but about truly enjoying the meal you’re sitting down to. The Marque offers an intimate atmosphere with subdued lighting and amazing food. Mark Best, the head chef, received the “Chef of the Year 2006″ award, and the menu that he has laid out is meant to impress. The Marque has also won multiple awards by the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide. Come here for world class food with great Australian service.

Do you want to visit Australia during your next vacation but you want to stay away from Sydney and Melbourne ? Then, here is an idea for you: Tasmania. Why? Because there are plenty of things to do and you’ll explore another side of the superb continent.

Flights to Hobart are cheap , thanks to the many low cost carriers flying here. Of course, for the first leg of the trip you’ll be flying into a major Australian airport. In mid-August a round trip flight from Sydney starts at US$252 per person, while if you fly from Melbourne the round trip fare is just US$95 per person.

Once you get to Hobart, start making some plans. It is possible to visit Hobart on a budget , so don’t worry about high expenses. You can stay in a hostel and use the public transport to get around. Entrance the sights will cost you some money, but rates are not very expensive. And there are places you can explore for free, as well.

Once you’ve visited the city, rent a car and start your road trip in Tasmania . First, drive to Launceston and start exploring the wild, west coast. Pack a tent as you’ll be tempted to camp in nature. Continue to St Helens and stop along the way to eat lunch and take a break to explore the landscape. Then it’s off to Bicheno and Wineglass Bay, one of the best beaches in the world. Plan to make a stop at Freycinet and Coombend Vineyards to taste the wines. Then stop in Triabunna, a small and charming town. From here, you can make your way back to Hobart by car or choose the public transport.

Winter in Australia falls in June, July and August; that’s when both in Europe and the United States it’s summer and the temperatures are , usually, quite high. Of course, tourism drops a lit in Australia during this time of the year but…not everyone knows that winter Down Under is not as cold as they would imagine. Few places reach temperatures below freezing and in places such as Darwin it’s still hot but it’s not wet. In fact, winter in Australia is more like autumn.

But do remember that although it’s warm during the day, at night it will get cold. So pack a jacket if you visit Sydney, Melbourne or Hobart. Up north though, it’s just perfect to experience the dry season.

Look for cheap airfare to Sydney and plan to stay at least a couple of days here. It’s nice to see the city outside the high-season. The main sights are not over-crowded. Still, don’t except room rates to be significantly lower.

Then, you can head north, to Darwin. And while at it check out one of the nude beaches in Australia , Casuarina Beach. Only part of it is clothing optional so if you are too shy, you can soak up the sun with a swimsuit on.

Although Darwin is not a large city, it’s definitely a cosmopolitan one. Spend some time checking out the Asian-style markets or check out the city’s sites. You can also spend time in the nature. You can also spend time at Lake Alexander, especially if you want to plan a barbeque out of the city.

The city, although located just 20 minutes by train from Perth, is deliciously different from Perth, having its own unique coastal town charm.

You can get around most of the central part of the city for free, on the CAT Bus, which runs every 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can explore the city on foot, stopping to check out its landmarks. While most of the activities are centered around the beach, don’t forget to visit the Maritime museum, the Fremantle Prison, the Round House and to check out the markets. You can also consider a ferry ride to Rottnest Island, for its pristine beaches and superb scenery.

It is possible to find cheap accommodation in Fremantle but it’s best to look for cheap hotels in Perth . There are a lot to choose from and you’ll most definitely want to visit Perth, as well.

Aside from the things you can do in Perth, there are also plenty other day trips options from Perth. You can head to Margaret River for some excellent wine tasting or you can visit a brewery in Swan Valley.

So, have you look for cheap flights to Perth yet? Budget wise, if you fly from the United States, you’ll have to dig deep in the pockets (from US$1900- US$2100 per person roundtrip if you leave from NYC, Miami or Los Angeles).
